Yes, in many cases. How do riggers move heavy machinery horizontally inside a building?

Heavy machinery is moved horizontally inside buildings using machine skates — low-profile steel devices fitted with steel or polyurethane wheels that roll on the factory floor. The machine is jacked up enough to slide skates underneath it, then pushed or pulled along the floor using lever hoists or jacking equipment.
